POSITION OBJECTIVESalamander Washington DC is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Marketing Coordinator. The successful candidate must have exceptional analytical, organizational and computer skills, show consistent attention to detail, have an understanding of social media messaging, assist with the execution of events and special programming, and maintain brand identity through various types of marketing channels. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and assist the Director of Sales & Marketing. A passion for creativity, organization, thinking outside of the box, strong writing skills, a collaborative spirit and attention to detail, will drive success in this position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSDuties include but are not limited to:

Assist with maintaining look and feel of property websiteDistribute internal communications of marketing effortsManage all Social Media Accounts and create organic Social Media contentManage on-property collateral placement and creation; freelancer liaisonMaintain, update and provide content on all affiliate and third-party websitesWork closely with the Revenue team to manage package pricing for special programmingCultivate and strengthen local media presence from an editorial and keep up-to-date contact listsUpdate and maintain community calendar event listingsAssist with email and e-marketing campaigns with editing and modifying imagesComplete expense reportsAssist with Vendor Management and InvoicingHandle/process all complimentary requests for mediaHandle all amenity requestsCoordinate and follow-up on the purchase requests / ordersRecording the minutes during marketing meetingsAssist with execution of event marketing involvement at off-site locationsMaintain photo and video library, including a photographic record of all media and special eventsAssist in responding to reviews via Revinate and Social Media AccountsContent Development and ManagementProvide marketing assistance, administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Marketing ManagerIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.Participate as a team player with all departments.Provide constructive feedback to all departments.Be a leader and a role model to all employees.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

At least 1-3 years of experience in Marketing CommunicationsA four-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar major is preferredMust possess superior social media savvy and the proven ability to drive creative and memorable social media campaignsStrong Computer Skills:Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop is a mustWord, Power Point, Excel & Outlook, Sprout Social, Monday Marketing toolExceptional written and verbal skills; AP Style knowledge a plusStrong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills requiredAbility to work nights and weekends as business demandsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize assignments while strategizing with each department of the resort to develop and promote special events that generate revenuePHYSICAL DEMANDS

Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are also required, depending on the project. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.BENEFITS
