The

Fashion Retail Merchandiser

will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies to optimize product assortments and maximize sales and profitability. Your keen understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and product performance will inform your decisions as you curate an exceptional product offering that sets us apart in the luxury retail landscape. This candidate should be proactive in their approach, look for opportunities to improve upon existing structures and processes and find ways to utilize best practices.

What You'll Do

Pre-season, in-season and post-season analysis and recommendations in order to deliver on financial targets inclusive of, but not limited to, assortment strategy, markdown recommendations, new category opportunities, pricing strategy, competitive benchmarking, promotional activities, online merchandising, catalog pagination and marketing needsAnalyze sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvementProvide frequent data-based feedback to the product teamStay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities to refine merchandising strategiesDevelop and execute commercial merchandising strategyCreate an omni-channel product vision and structureTranslate analyses into a line planShare product ideas, commercial bets, and visual merchandising conceptsIntroduce customer research and feedback mechanismsDevelop and manage online product, price, and promotion strategyBuild reporting systems tailored to online requirements, utilizing various data sourcesMake recommendations for online exclusive products based on web data and market trendsImplement and manage third-party assortmentsDrive innovation by continuously refining merchandising strategiesManage special projects as necessaryDevelop a strong understanding of internal product and reporting systemsWhat You Need

A minimum of five years of experience in women's apparel merchandise management, product management, merchandise planning or a similar role; experience in the luxury market is a plusFinancial and business acumen with proficiency in retail mathStrong analytical skills with proven ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative dataProven track record of setting strategies and driving resultsStrong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, get things done in an efficient manner and work under pressure with multiple deadlinesHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data sourcing), PDM program with an aptitude to learn technical applications quicklyStrong collaborative skills with the ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of cross-functional partnersSuperior written communication, presentation and listening skillsEntrepreneurial spirit and flexibility to thrive in a very dynamic environmentBachelor's Degree in Fashion management or merchandise managementSalary & Benefits

Annual salary range of $65,000 - $90,000.
