A bit about us:
**Position Summary:**
As a Designer/Drafter in our team, you will be responsible for designing automatic fire sprinkler systems using AutoSprink and HydroCAD. This role involves preparing plan submittals, coordinating designs with existing structures and MEP subcontractors, and ensuring efficient communication with various departments for optimized design efficiency. Additionally, you will perform hydraulic calculations, detail designs for fabrication, and mentor junior designers as needed.

Design automatic fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, foam, and fire pumps) using AutoSprink and HydroCAD.Compile and prepare plan submittals and material submittals for review by stakeholders.Coordinate sprinkler design with existing structures and other MEP subcontractors.Communicate with Sales, Estimating, and other departments to optimize design efficiency.Perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems.Detail designs for fabrication and prepare installation drawings.Prepare "as-built" drawings for archive and client files.Provide coaching and mentoring to junior designers for senior-level experienced designers.
Job Details
**Qualifications:**
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Design and/or Drafting, Fire Protection, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler design (or 8 years if non-degreed).Experience with AutoSprink and/or HydroCAD is required.NICET Level II certification required (or in progress).Self-discipline, motivation, and ability to work in a team environment.Attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Commitment to ethics and integrity.Ability to access construction sites in various climates and environments.
**Other Requirements:**
Regular and reliable attendance.Productive work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.Effective communication and interaction with supervisors and team members.Compliance with safety protocols and instructions.Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines.
