Position Summary

In the Mechanical Drafter position, you will assist in the documentation process including the creation of part and assembly drawings, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and model development. This position will be responsible for mechanical 2D and 3D technical documentation related to product development within the Lighting department and beyond.

This position reports to Engineering Manager I - Manufacturing

What You’ll Be Doing

Working within an Engineering Department comprised of a cross-disciplinary staff of engineersUpdates models, drawings, and documentation for product components and assemblies through engineering change orders.Supporting product designs from conception through design, sourcing, production, and revisionCreating assemblies and drawings using existing models for our websiteInitiating and finalizing workflow processes to promote new or modified part models into the document management systemOther duties as assigned

Required

Associate’s degree in Mechanical Drafting/Design or related field4 Years of Experience working in Mechanical Drafting/Design or related fieldAdvanced capabilities using Creo design softwareIntermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingPreferred

Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as: injection molding, die casting, machining, and stampingKnowledge of AutoCAD design softwareKnowledge of Windchill PDM systemKnowledge of Adobe IllustratorFamiliar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
