About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Designer who is interested in leading the design for large surface areas of the platform revolving around financial reporting. While some of your work is customer-facing, the majority of it will be for the internal AngelList team.
You will collaborate with our engineering team to identify the biggest time-sinks and design solutions looking at the entire process online and offline. This role is mostly independent so the ideal candidate should be excited about the 0 - 1 process.
You will report to our Product Design Lead.
You will:Lead the design for a new financial reporting tool used by the AngelList teamCollaborate with designers working on the customer-facing product to ensure data accuracy and alignmentIdentify areas of opportunity to improve efficiency of serviceGuide product vision and achieve it through research synthesis and design explorationsWork closely with XFN partners to solicit feedback to ensure project outcomes are being metLeverage your expertise and judgement to work quickly while also choosing the moments to propose research initiatives to fill in the gapsUse and contribute to evolving design systems and standardsTake on complex, interdependent, projects and seek the information required to fill in any missing gapsOther characteristics of the ideal candidate:
Has a high bar for craft (data visualization and typography) and a strong desire to deliver a consumer-level experience to internal customersExcited by system-level product or service design work; you don't mind working on products where customers will not see your work directlyYears of design experience are not always an indicator of quality but we find the ideal candidates to have over 8 years of relevant experienceComfortable being a sole contributor to high-impact projects

AngelList has offices in two hub cities:
San Francisco and New York City that you can choose to work from. We're focused on hiring within these hubs and people within 1 hour travel distance of the hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week.
