We are currently in search of a Mechanical Designer with a minimum of four years of experience to join the team in Lynchburg, VA. We want to add someone to our team who will think both creatively and logically to come up with innovative design and development solutions.

The candidate selected for this position will:
Assist lead Engineer through project design and construction.
Design HVAC and/or Plumbing systems. Produce drawings containing equipment layouts, ductwork and piping plans, sections, details, and schedules.
Assist with calculations, such as duct static, pump head, and load calculations.
Assist with equipment selections for units such as air handling units, VAV boxes, fan coil units, and pumps.
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design is coordinated and clash-free.
Participate in field surveys to document existing conditions, collect dimensions, and create sketches.
The Mechanical Designer should demonstrate:
Great work ethic
Strong analytical reasoning skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills for managing communications with peers, colleagues, and clients
Requirements :
Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar degree with courses relevant to drafting or engineering principles
4+ years of Mechanical design experience
Experience using Revit
Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Trane Trace 700 preferred
Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
