Job title : Truss Designer

Pay : Starting at $23.96 to $30 depending on experience.

Schedule : In Office, Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Location : Deer Park, Washington

The Truss Designer is responsible for making the customers' vision into reality by creating designs based on the customer's needs. This position reports directly to the Assistant Plant Manager and works closely with the Sales team.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of roof and floor truss design experience requiredExperience utilizing Mitek design software preferred1 year of prior experience within the construction industryHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentAbility to read blueprintsKnowledgeable in the construction industryKnowledgeable in working with design softwareUnderstanding of engineering fundamentalsStrong math skillsMust be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobMust be able to type 40+ WPMProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookDuties and Responsibilities

Creates designs for all assigned jobs based on the plan and quote specifications provided by the customer and sales teamMaintains detailed records and reports of related information on a job to job basisCollaborates with the sales team and others as necessaryVisits with job site supervisors to ensure any issues that arise are resolved properlyRead and interpret blueprints provided by customersDesigning truss' that conform to building requirements and codesThe primary working conditions for this position are in an office environment with a computer.
