Graphic Artist + Wide Format Production

Responsibilities include:For Print and Digital Print:50% preparing files for output; 25% simple desktop publishing; 25% original creativeCreating and preparing files correctly for various printing/imaging methods, internal and externalEnsuring that customer-provided files print accurately (pre-flight)Managing web-based ordering systems including programming and vendor contactFloating between graphics department and wide format production department as workload requiresKnowledge and ability to extract photos, graphics, etc. from non-working files (i.e. Word) to use in appropriate programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, etc.Ability to occasionally guide a customer through the process of providing usable artwork filesReceptive to constructive critique of design work and providing recommended revisionsGeneral:Communicating effectively with internal and external customers as neededMaintaining, updating, troubleshooting, installation and overall support of all hardware and software company-wideTracking work time on special projects as neededBacking up work files to backup drive in graphics department and off-site drive on a regular basisRequirementsQualifications:5+ years experience working proficiently with Adobe Creative Cloud; including InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop, with proficiency on both Mac and PC platformsExperience/proficiently with RTA Vinyl plotter/cutter (Graphtec-Summa)Experience with variable-data imagingExperience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher)Experience with MailChimp (or similar) for Email Marketing campaignsPre-press, Offset Printing, Wide-Format and Digital-Imaging experience including finishing, laminating, mountingAbility to manage tight deadlines (while multi-tasking) and thrive on pressureAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skills (spelling and grammar)Timely, stylish and original creative design abilityAbility to maintain a well-organized filing system and clean work environmentMust be able to multi-task and enjoy fast-pace working environmentAbility to learn new processes quickly (sometimes under tight deadlines)Must be a team player and do it all with a smile and a positive attitudeBenefitsBayprint is a well-established, state of the art, full service printing and marketing-services company that is currently expanding product and service offerings.
