General Description

As Senior Art Director, you'll create compelling collateral, both print and digital, that elevates CPG's design deliverables.

The Senior Art Director is responsible for the quality and execution of visual creative solutions. At the direction of the Director of Creative Services-Business Operations Manager., the Senior Art Director oversees the design process, ideation and execution of content to meet or exceed client expectations. They also are often a key contributor to the pursuit and winning of new (and repeat) business through proposal design.

Creativity and initiative are keys to success in this role. Superb communication and collaboration skills are required since the Senior Art Director works with the Sales/Marketing, Account, and Experience teams to understand assignments, develop dynamic, cost-effective solutions.

This position is part of the Creative Team and reports to the Director of Creative Services-Business Operations Manager. This position does not have any direct reports.

Job Responsibilities

This position requires a blend of the following responsibilities and skills.

Strategic Creative Development

Work collaboratively with the Creative Team to conceptualize and guide visual solutions that effectively communicate the objectives for client accounts.Design/produce a wide range of materials to meet internal and external client objectives including custom proposals, brand logos, themed event graphics, presentation support (Keynote and PowerPoint), digital design, campaigns and various print pieces.Work with Sr Experience Designers and Sr Creative Strategist to ensure that CPG provides the a superior visual creative product.Improve the overall quality of the agency's visual portfolio, measured by (internal and external) client satisfaction.Consult often with Sr Experience Designers and Sr Creative Strategist to make sure creative is on strategy and exceeding expectations.Proposal Development

Actively participate in the proposal development process resulting in measurable win rateLead proposal design and production efforts.Ideation/Brainstorms

Participate in team brainstorming and creative sessions.Champion visual innovation and creative excellence at CPG.Help develop innovative new visual concepts for the agency.Remain a student of design, keeping up with trends and developments.Quality Assurance

Review design deliverables for quality and accuracy prior to client or producer delivery.Core Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High-level design ability.High standards of quality, efficiency and effectiveness (high performance).Adaptability, flexibility and problem solving.Excellent communication skills (oral and written).Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under tight deadlines.Work flexible hours, when necessary to meet deadlines.
