The UPS Store has in-house, local and National resources to execute on a wide range of design production.Graphic Designer| Center Associate manages an assortment of small business and professional services - shipping, packing, printing, creating, shredding, sorting, faxing and returning. He or she operates production presses, binding equipment and cutters among other daily tasks. In addition, he or she expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on an array of products and services.The ideal candidate has a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she is driven to succeed and is an energetic self-starter and team-player who is trustworthy and a fast learner.The UPS Store offers flexible work hours and scheduling.
The ideal candidate has previous retail experience.
A degree in visual communication, graphic design, or a related field; experience in graphic design or in the print industry is highly desirable.RESPONSIBILITIESAssist a variety of customers with professional services offered by The UPS StoreDevelops creative concepts and builds graphic solutions for customersCommunicates effectively with customersOffer solutions to complex packaging, shipping, printing and returning tasksProduces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for customer projectsDevelops as a team playerConstantly learn new processes and systemsPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSDegree - or pursuing degree - in visual communication, graphic design, or a related fieldExperience in graphic design or the print industry preferredStrong computer and internet skills (multiple platforms)Able to work weekend days as requiredExpertise with Adobe based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)Able to manage and optimize workload, prioritize multiple projects, and streamline tasksMust demonstrate extreme attention to detail in workMust be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNeat, clean, and professional appearance
