Oak Hill sets the standard, partnering with people with disabilities, to provide services and solutions promoting independence, education, health, and dignity.As Oak Hill’s Grant Writer, you will have the unique opportunity to help build impactful programs, as well as help launch new initiatives by identifying and submitting compelling grant applications to foundation, corporate and government (local, state and federal) funders. This role is part of a dynamic development team that collaborates with program and administrative teams across the agency to build resources for programs that support people with disabilities throughout the state of Connecticut.This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with exceptional grant writing, organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and build strong relationships at all levels of an organization.We invite you to join our team of highly committed professionals! Duties and Responsibilities:Grant WritingDraft and submit all grant and funding requests to foundation, corporate, and government funders, as well as final reportsCollaborate with program and/or administrative teams to collect necessary information to craft proposals with compelling storytelling and data-driven needs statementsWrite, revise, edit, and organize proposal drafts including cover letters, executive summaries, budget narratives, and supporting documents as required by the funderWork with Finance, Programs and Grants team to gather financial, outcome and other information necessary for proposals and reportsGather additional information through research to support funding proposalsObtain final approval by reviewing proposals with Director of Innovation and Grants and key program personnel.Grants Project ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with grant fundersResearch and identify potential new funding sources based on Oak Hill’s needs in collaboration with the Grants TeamEnsure on-time submission of all grant applications and reports, gathering input from stakeholders in a timely mannerMaintain organized records of funders and application materials: proposals, reports, communications to/from foundations, organization contacts, etc.Work with Grants Team to create a grant application timeline that clearly articulates grant information gathering process for all internal stakeholdersMeet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and submission.Work with Development and Communications teams to provide impact information for various communication channels, including: intranet, print materials, social media, newsletters, etc.We support equality for and advancement of all people, based on their qualifications and actions alone, without regard to color, gender, age, religion, national origin or disability.An Equal Opportunity Employer.
