We are hiring for an Interior Architectural Designer in the Charlotte, NC area. 6 month temp to hire.Job Description:
Read and interpret architectural drawingsSelections for Design DrawingsPrepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projectsWork in a profitable and timely manner according to company standardsInterpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as neededWork closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issuesResponsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completionBe able to follow computer processes and proceduresAttend client meetings as requiredMaintain a draw & build a standard option libraryPossess a high degree of passion, drive and knowledge to achieve the best possible creative resultsMust have a passion for design and an eagerness to learn
Required:
5 Years of Architectural Design DraftingProficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sketchup.Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material.Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, organized, and effective under pressureHave 3D visional interpretation of construction situationsAbility to work well with others and follow directionsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and manage several projectsDemonstrate critical thinking skillsDedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail
Preferred:
Luxury residential custom building industry. ($1Mil+ Homes)Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building codeExperience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details.
