Kids Creative Director

The Kids Creative Director (KD) role will center on building momentum in the larger EastLake Kids program.Working closely with the Kids Pastor, the KD will support the team and mission of the church by helping buildfun and energy into the rhythm of the ministry. The KD will help plan and manage the larger EastLake Kidscalendar, extra events, and momentum builders. In addition, the KD will offer leadership andorganizational/administrative support where the Kid Pastor sees fit — this will include helping manage certainpoints of communication.

Supervision Received:

Reports and works closely with the Kids Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help build the EastLake Kids brand and culture by adding fun and momentum into the existing Kids Calendar and within the larger EastLake Kids system.
  • Help manage curriculum, calendar planning, and added activities along with the EastLake Kids team.
  • Help plan, execute, and manage extra events that fit within EastLake Kids scope. For example, Blocktober, Family Connect Events, Welcome Christmas, Open Houses, Leader Events, major holidays/big days, etc. This would include recruiting and leading an Event Team to help with said events.
  • Help manage communication points within the EastLake Kids team and larger church.
  • Serve as a team player on the Kids Team in the spirit of helping the team thrive.
  • This role serves as a project manager who understands and helps run details/culture at a 10k feet video — not as someone who manages a classroom. This role helps the various Kids Directors create engaging and fun experiences for kids and their families.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to plan and execute events of various sizes in such a way that honors culture and the mission of EastLake Kids.
  • Ability to multitask a wide variety of details at the same time.
  • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems and see potential with a posture of extreme ownership.
  • Ability to self-lead efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to plan and execute a workflow of personnel and calendared ministry activities.
  • Ability to manage a budget and spending within that budget.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with those up, down, and all around the organizational chart, and with parents and children.

Hour Break Down:

  • Sundays: 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • Tuesday: In office, ~ 9 to 3 (with flexibility)
  • Wednesday: In office, ~ 9 to 3 (with flexibility)
  • Thursday: Flex, some Church on Thursday
  • Friday and Saturday: typically weekend with some flex

Working Conditions / Requirements:

  • Some flex (as agreed upon by supervisor) but primarily on site during work hours.
  • Office, computer, and other resources as needed
  • Church staff is required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (tithe, attendance, conduct, etc.)
  • Basic maintenance skills required to ensure the property is in good working order (basic plumbing, handiwork, machinery operation, etc)
