About the Role:
As a Staff Product Designer at Materialize, you will own the user experience of Materialize's web interface. Your designs will tackle a wide range of user journeys, from admin and billing to monitoring and observability. You will use your expertise in our customers, their use cases, and the technical capabilities of our underlying product to ensure that we ship solutions our users love.
This role sits within our Product organization and reports directly to our Head of Product. To be successful in this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with peers in our Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams.About You:You love technology, but you also care about the people who use it (our customers!)You have 10+ years of experience designing for data infrastructure or other types of data toolingYou have a demonstrated ability to lead large and complex design projectsYou have excellent written and verbal communication skillsYou are based in New York and excited about coming to our office (in Astor Place) at least three days a weekResponsibilities:Become an authoritative expert in your product area, allowing you to translate complex concepts and functionality into simple interfaces that our users understand and loveProactively manage a portfolio of small and big projects, while balancing short-term goals against long-term visionDrive solution validation for design projects by conducting research, incorporating learned insights, and documenting each step along the wayShare designs with the Product and Engineering teams early to facilitate quick iteration cyclesImprove the Product Design function and our processes to help us ship better and faster
Salary: $175,000 - 200,000/year + Equity
