Position

:

PAR is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Authorization Specialist to perform all aspects of authorizing Biologic department procedure, and other tasks related to medical billing claims for the practice. This position will report to the Director of Billing. Enjoy

Job ResponsibilitiesRevenue Cycle Process.Authorization Processing.Apply Private Payer Policies.Apply Government Payer Policies.Follow up on Claim Statuses.Resolve Claim Denials.Submit Appeals.Daily Analysis and Resolution of outstanding insurance accounts receivable.Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II Coding GuidelinesComplete daily tasks: responding to insurance representatives.Assist Billing Director with daily workload as time permits.Perform other duties as assigned by provider, supervisor, or member of Administration – for example, cross trained to improve the revenue cycle.Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of medical billing office experience in medical practice or one year of customer service experience is preferred.

Knowledge

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CMKnowledge of a medical authorization life cycle.Knowledge of EMR documentation.Knowledge of effective claim follow up.Skills

Computer software skills in a Windows environmentSkill in using Allscripts PM and EMRSkill in using office equipment, including multi line phone, copier, and fax machine.Abilities

Effectively communicate verbally on the phone and in writing in emailAdapts to changes in policies, processes, and systems.Works quickly while paying close attention to detail.Ability to use good judgment.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, physicians, patients, and the public.Benefits
