Media Relations Director

to join our growing

team.

What You'll Bring:Ability and strong proven experience in building thoughtful media relations strategies that go beyond block and tackle and obvious solutionsAn expert in how to get earned media for brands in creative, innovative, and breakthrough ways that get clients excited, in both planned and opportunistic waysAn energetic and dynamic culture vulture with a finger on the pulse of what's being talked about in consumer mediaAn interest in working with home and design media; experience with food, beverage, sports, beauty or personal care media a plus as wellStrong contacts within home and design media outletsAbility to provide client counsel on tough media situationsExperience in media training for marketing/brand teams and celebrity spokespeopleAbility to function as a driver of a team and a counselor to the client.Experience in management of junior team members and leading a small media/pitch team during activation moments, ability to pivot and flex to ensure reaching KPIsFamiliarity with MuckRack, Cision and other common media-relations tools and softwareAbility to provide feedback to teams with a "yes, and" mentality, providing clarity and builds on how to make ideas more media worthyWhat We'll Bring:

Our Flexible Work Policy:

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.

For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.

If you plan on working remotely, we can accept applicants from the following states:
