The Marketing Manager, Direct to School reports directly to the VP of Marketing Operations and DTS and is responsible for the execution of the national marketing campaign strategy for the Direct to School (DTS) channel. This position will direct the planning and implementation of high-impact content and deliverables that inspire and influence our target audiences, focusing on national and evergreen campaigns. This role is a self-starter and strategic thinker and will drive the year-round lead-generation-focused strategy supporting the performance of the marketing and DTS sales team. The Marketing Manager, Direct to School is a flexible problem solver who tackles multiple projects, has creative sensibility, and has excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

Directs the planning and implementation of an integrated DTS marketing campaign plan to drive marketing qualified leads for sales at optimal times throughout the year.Owns the creation and execution of effective DTS lead-generation campaigns for subject/content-area initiatives, including developing the value proposition and messaging that speaks to customer needs and product positioning.Develops marketing automation and behavior-based trigger campaign journeys and workflows, including defining target audiences and personas.Leads the ideation and development of high-value content for new blogs, webinars, videos, lead magnets, emails, thought leadership, etc., that results in positive engagement across all channels to drive more traffic and lead conversions.Advises on all school channel asset production and execution for print and online collateral with in-house and external creative services teams, including flyers, brochures, internal training materials and presentations, customer-facing product and market presentations, and sales enablement materials.Is mindful of marketing department key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports on school marketing campaign performance, providing actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for identifying opportunities and continuous improvement.Partners closely with the Marketing Specialist, DTS - provides insight on lead generation strategies for sales enablement and lead conversion to optimize efficiencies and leverage content for regional campaigns.Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as School Sales Leadership and Content Development Leadership, to ensure consistent alignment of strategies, achieve marketing goals, and grow the business.Works with and onboards the marketing freelancers and content marketing resources as needed to meet in-market dates for projects.Follows established processes, frameworks, and guidelines for school marketing campaigns, collateral, sales tools, and content creation for department workflow efficiencies.Maintains current knowledge of marketing and educational news, trends, and best practices and applies them to school campaigns.Tackles special projects assigned by senior management on an ad hoc basis.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field.Minimum of 2 years marketing experience in education, K-12 educational publishing industry preferred.Education/Certification: BA degree in marketing, communications, or business. Education/teaching background a plus.Experience in marketing and project management tools such as HubSpot and Asana.Must be skilled in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at minimum.Experience with CRM systems and contact management databases, specifically Salesforce and Netsuite.Proven track record of growing campaigns from strategy to execution and creating successful marketing product launches.Experience working with Sales leadership to identify improvements in marketing and sales support strategy.Organized, collaborative, team-oriented work style.Skills/Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and demonstrate commitment to both quality and tight deadlines.Physical Requirements :

Sit for extended periods of time; including at a computer.Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
