OVERVIEW:

Year Up is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing to join the National Marketing team and lead the marketing strategy and activities for the Grads of Life service brand (the thought leadership and consulting arm of Year Up) - stewarding the brand's position in the market and increasing overall influence. The Associate Director will report to the Marketing Director, Stakeholder Management, and will lead the integrated marketing strategy and creative development to support, engage and optimize marketing efforts to drive the Grads of Life brand.

To be successful in this role, you'll characterize yourself as a self-starter with strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills, and an essential enthusiasm for delivering high-impact solutions with measurable results. You are fluent in digital and social tools (from content management to social platforms) and are up to date on the latest industry trends. You have a sharp eye for compelling design, keen writing and communication skills, and an analytical mindset. You pride yourself on your strategic thinking and project management skills, leveraging your ability to manage up, down, and across to move projects forward and get things done. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders. Strong candidates will also bring a passion for meaningful work and social justice and will be excited and prepared to engage with our mission and constituents.

The Associate Director of Marketing will have the opportunity to interact with students as a mentor, group facilitator, and advocate, participating in building a positive educational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the integrated marketing strategy and campaign delivery for the Grads of Life stakeholder with the goal of elevating Grads of Life's position in the market and increasing the brand's influenceOversee and manage the creation, execution and optimization of marketing channels and mediums including, but not limited to: social, web, print, video, content, emailDrive collaboration across internal marketing team functions, including operations, advertising, brand, public relations, and other stakeholder groups to develop the strategy and execution of fully integrated campaigns aligned with Grads of Life and org-wide goalsManage relationships with key stakeholders across the Grads of Life function by setting expectations, providing marketing expertise, communicating regularly, addressing challenges, and ensuring project success from planning to delivery and distributionProficiently measure the performance of marketing channels and derive actionable insights to enhance campaign effectivenessDevelop and implement strategies to elevate and promote Grads of Life's key thought leadership content, such as research reports, frameworks, case studies, and blogs. Partner closely with the Thought Leadership team to devise and execute effective promotion strategiesOversee the creation of strong project plans and briefs that tie back to key marketing strategies and objectives, and ensure alignment and efficiency across internal teams, external agencies, and vendorsPartner with external agency partners and vendors who execute marketing efforts for Grads of Life, including leading regular meetings, monitoring performance of the agency, and appropriating liaising between the agency and other partner marketing teamsEfficiently steward the Grads of Life brand and associated systems and tools, conducting routine evaluations of ongoing marketing projects and ensuring alignment with organizational objectivesEffectively oversee and coordinate various projects concurrently, including major annual initiatives and ongoing tasks, by prioritizing, planning, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and adapting to changes as neededBring new and big ideas to the table, as well as collaboratively build on others' concepts to test new and different ways to achieve Grads of Life's goalsIdentify opportunities and implement strategies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, or impact of projectsServe as a thought partner to marketing leadership team, and members of the marketing leadership collaboration committeeAct as a learning community member by participating and engaging with Year Up studentsOther duties as assignedNational Team/Learning Community Member

4-7 years (preference for 6+ years) of marketing campaign strategy oversight and managementDirect experience and oversight of marketing channels, including email, social, web, print, video, and content marketingA track record of successfully managing client relationshipsExcellent presentation and communications skills, including an ability to engage with senior leaders, and to shift communication styles to target a variety of stakeholdersAbility to manage many competing priorities and communicate effectively when priorities shiftAstute attention to detail and understanding of tailoring creative and content to an audienceGood eye for design, attentive to best practices, and strong understanding of brand consistency and its importance; ability to effectively manage creative projects and articulate actionable feedbackExperience leading social media for a business; proficiency and understanding a plus across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, and InstagramStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsPreferred proficiency in relevant Marketing tools and technology, including Microsoft Office and, as needed: Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Wordpress, or similar systemsA passion for working with young adults, an unshakable belief in their potential, and a strong commitment to Year Up's mission, including an understanding of the Opportunity Divide and its drivers, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionSalary Range- $85,000-$110,000#LI-Hybrid

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Year Up has established salary ranges for each of our sites, which allows us to pay employees competitively, equitably and consistently in different geographic markets. For roles in which the location is listed as flexible, the range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Salary offers take into account a candidate's skills, experience, and location.
