Essential Functions

Technical Strategy Development

Develop a comprehensive technical strategy that aligns with our marketing goals, ensuring seamless integration of various marketing technology platforms.Work alongside product managers and technical leads to define and maintain a technical roadmap that supports the evolution of our marketing technology stack.

Marketing Technology Integration

Lead the technical integration efforts of CRM systems, marketing automation tools, digital analytics, loyalty platforms, paid media, and customer data platforms to form a cohesive marketing technology ecosystem.Ensure that the marketing technology stack is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance, delivering a seamless experience across all customer touchpoints.

Technical Collaboration and Roadmap Execution

Partner with Digital, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to ensure that marketing technologies are not only integrated but also utilize the full potential of our data and technical infrastructure.Translate product roadmaps into executable projects, aligning with the overall strategic vision and ensuring technical feasibility.

Cross-Functional Team Leadership

Act as a technical liaison between the marketing and technology departments, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and operational excellence.Drive the implementation of best practices in software development and data management within the marketing technology sphere.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Technologies, the

Principal Engineer MarketingTechnologies

will wield a blend of technical expertise and strategic foresight to merge disparate marketing technologies into a cohesive, efficient, and effective ecosystem.

This ecosystem will serve as the digital backbone of our marketing operations, supporting brand strategies across our diverse portfolio and ensuring that technology investments are aligned with business objectives.

As a central figure in the marketing technology landscape, the Principal Engineer, Marketing Technologies will forge strong collaborative relationships with product managers, ensuring that every technology decision and integration is guided by a deep understanding of product vision and user needs. This role requires someone who can speak the language of both technology and marketing fluently, translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.

Work Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical role within marketing technology, with a deep understanding of the technical aspects of CRM, marketing automation, loyalty platforms, digital analytics, and customer data platforms.At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing the integration of complex, multi-faceted marketing technology solutions.Proven experience working with product managers to develop and execute a technical roadmap for marketing technologies.Skills & Abilities

Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, with the capability to articulate technical strategies and complex concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
