To oversee engineering team and projects, and ensure that projects are completed efficiently, correctly, and on schedule.Job Responsibilities: Lead and Manage Design DepartmentDelegate tasks to teamCommunicate with customers and vendors regarding products and project deadlinesTroubleshootingLead the design of all new equipment as well as constantly revising current models to improve product design and reduce manufacturing costsPrepares technical documents detailing designs, instructions, bills of materials and specifications Conceptual design development Represents the company to both private and government bodies to discuss design details of both proposed and purchased machinesConvey instructions and expectations to welding, paint, purchasing and assembly departmentsAssists with production process for fabrication, modification and assemblyConducts simulations and prototyping to evaluate product performance, reliability and safetyMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Minimum of 3 years of experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently balancing multiple work demands in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detailStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to work cooperatively as part of a team Ability to hold one's self & subordinates accountable for actions, successes, and failuresProficient understanding of Solidworks or comparable Design production, optimization and reviewPhysical Demands Include: Primary working while sitting, with occasional walking, stooping, crouching, and kneeling; frequent reaching, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, typing, working on a computer, talking-speaking clearly, hearing-conversation, and seeing-near.Work/Environment: Moderate noise level consistent with a manufacturing environment. Some travel may be required.
