About the Team

The Ads Data Science and Engineering team plays a foundational role for the CDLX ad network. Our goals are to drive consumer engagement through relevant and innovative sponsored rewards and deliver results for advertisers. The charter of our team encompasses conducting comprehensive analyses, extracting insights, and creating predictive models using machine learning, all with the overarching goal of making commerce more fun and rewarding. As a leader in this domain, you will collaborate closely with partner teams to strategize on overarching business goals. Your team will be at the forefront of developing and implementing insights, recommendations, forecasting, ad targeting solutions and measurement. With a commitment to analytical rigor, your team will evaluate ideas, dissect problems, build workflows, provide recommendations, and lead end-to-end product delivery.

About the Position

Cardlytics is seeking a Head of Ads Data Science and Engineering to join our team, reporting to the CTO.

As the tech leader of this growing team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional partners across the organization, leveraging your expertise to build innovative solutions that drive business impact. By joining us, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Cardlytics' advertiser facing data insights product and tech strategy and contributing to a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities:Build effective teams by hiring, inspiring, mentoring, and growing a team of technical experts.Define and develop a world-class technology program responsible for all advertising solutions, platforms, and systems focused on delivering the most relevant offer to the right user at the right time and meaningful return on ad spend (ROAS) for advertisers. Success will be measured by relevant and engaging user experiences, advertiser demand growth and strong ROAS for advertisers.Drive vision and purpose through creation and execution against a high impact, growth driven technology roadmap.Balance business objectives across long term growth, short term opportunities, platform stability, and rapid expansion of technical capabilities.Deliver results by continual monitoring of the day-to-day product development lifecycle. Lead the management of sprints and evaluate results.Minimum Qualifications

Proven data science and data engineering skills including machine learning, natural language processing, graphs, data pipelines, data lake, data visualization.Large scale data science product experience, e.g., search, recommendations, insights, user and product graphs, and advertising measurement.Technical Team Management 7+ years of leadership experience in a technical setting, including digital media and advertising technology. (Fintech experience is a plus).Built large-scale data and machine learning pipelines, scalable data stores and real-time serving systems.Diving in and getting hands-on where needed to keep technical development on track and executing effectively.Agile methodologies and leading agile teams in product delivery.Successful collaborator who works closely with cross functional teams, executives, and representatives across the stakeholder groups.Change management leader who builds trust and credibility across all areas of the business.Preferred Qualifications

Experience with large-scale advertising networks and advertising platforms.Machine Learning Operations (MLOps): Strong background in MLOps practices, with experience in automating the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models-from data preparation and model training to deployment and monitoring.Expertise in Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks or similar): Hands-on experience with these platforms, including their architecture, data storage capabilities, performance tuning, security features, and integration points with other tools in the ecosystem (e.g., Notebooks, MLflow etc.).Data Operations Automation: Proficiency in automating data operations to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and ensure consistent delivery of services within the data infrastructure ecosystem.Core Values

At Cardlytics salary ranges are determined based on factors such as role, level, and location. Individual compensation may be determined by relevant skills, experience, education, training, and other role-specific criteria. This salary range will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of the aforementioned factors.The base salary range provided below does not include bonuses and additional benefits.

The annual US base salary range for this role is:

$180,000-$280,000
