Design at Cash App is a leading voice in the strategy of the company and operates as a functional organization reporting to the CEO and spanning Product Design and Brand Creative, connected by rich disciplines including Operations, Writing and Customer Insights.

Job Description

As a Principal Product Designer on Bitcoin, you will help define the role of Bitcoin at Cash App, lead and execute major product initiatives, and work with the other discipline leads to set strategy and nurture a high performing team. You will collaborate with other teams in Financial Products, and serve as a resource and mentor to other designers across the org.

You will report to our Head of Product Design.

You will:

Be accountable for the craft of the experiences and interfaces that our customers interact with

Promote an inclusive environment for creativity and growth, and facilitate connections across teams and disciplines

Play a role across the organization and make strategic design decisions as a partner to Business, Product and Eng and be a voice for leveraging design across the organization

Bring comfort and expertise in technical environments, including knowledge of the mobile client-side development process

Help establish and evolve principles, frameworks, standards and processes for the discipline

Be an influential voice at the leadership level alongside peers in Product, Engineering, Data Science and Customer Insights

Be an influential consultant and voice across other disciplines, such as Marketing, Customer Support and People

Actively contribute to Design team culture and take ownership for Inclusion & Diversity efforts

You have:

Experience as an influential design leader who delivers impactful, strategic work that moves a business forward

A keen systematic and visual eye, and an understanding of how to use creativity to meet team goals

Experience collaborating with leadership to inform product development processes and an understanding of how to solve product challenges across platforms

A clear point of view on design direction, an openness to new ideas and a bias for transparency and communication

Passion and commitment to the customer, your teammates, and our mission

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $228,700 - USD $343,100

Zone B: USD $228,700 - USD $343,100

Zone C: USD $228,700 - USD $343,100

Zone D: USD $228,700 - USD $343,100
