Front-End Web Designer will translate of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. This position will work with product and the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between

graphical design

and

technical implementation

(link removed) This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the presentation layer development including HTML markup, CSS styling, JavaScript functionality and unit testing.

Job Functions

Front End Web Development

(HTML5, CSS, Responsive Design)

• Create functional website pages from designs with experience in designing/developing cross-platform and cross-browser

• Develop well-structured, maintainable

CSS/CSS3

, jQuery,

JavaScript

and

HTML/HTML5

to build out large-scale, responsive websites

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

• Collaborate with product, back-end developers and web designers

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in small teams

Testing & Performance

• Work with development and QA teams to code HTML/CSS/JavaScript, test, and verify projects through the development process

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

• Constantly review and improve frontend performance

• Site optimization for SEO and page performance

Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:

BS Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent training/experience

years of experience with JS frameworks

• Responsive design techniques and practices

• Experience with source control such as Git preferred

• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment, organize and prioritize work independently, and meet tight deadlines
