We are looking for a Senior/Lead Product Marketing Specialist to support our Direct-to-Consumer Acquisition Marketing Team. This role will be a critical part of driving marketing consistency across existing and new products. At Credit Acceptance, Marketing is the strategic lever for driving transformational growth and achieving long-term business goals. Outcomes and Activities:

  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required.  However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
  • Optimization of the Consumer Acquisition flow, with a focus on conversion through the financing application to a dealer visit. Identification of friction points and solutions along the way, by leveraging a test-and-learn approach and data-driven mindset.
    • Working with channel leads to shape messaging/positioning tests to drive leads.
    • Improve conversion rate of the consumer credit application by working with UI and product designers.
    • Launch post-lead nurture campaigns to optimize the flow of prospects into leads for dealers.
  • Lead product marketing content development.
    • Help establish Credit Acceptance’s content output, with a focus on financial education and pre-customer content marketing.
  • Product positioning and messaging: Support the development of compelling messaging that effectively communicates the value proposition and differentiation of our service to consumers and their needs.
    • Craft clear and concise messaging for use across various marketing channels and buyer personas.
    • Help craft Credit Acceptance’s product storytelling vision and voice.
    • Partner with the Brand Marketing team to help establish and align all product marketing copy.
    • Educate other departments on current product messaging.
  • Market research and analysis: Identify consumer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Lead customer and consumer research studies to uncover practical insights.
    • Gather and analyze data to inform product development, promotions, and marketing strategies.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
    • Advocate for the customer.
  • Ensure timely completion of work and clear communication across teams – analytics, marketing, legal and others.
    • Outline product marketing deployment timelines and roadmap.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices. Knowledge of product marketing strategies, including positioning, messaging, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with user experience concepts and leveraging user research.
  • Can synthesize insights to identify new recommendations to improve marketing and business results.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, analytics, and other teams within marketing. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Can write concise intent documents, creative briefs, test plans, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt new marketing technologies.
  • Confident with interpreting analysis and making recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, FullStory, etc.
  • Familiarity with web testing tools such as Adobe Target, Unbounce, Optimizely, etc.
  • Can break a strategy down into a structured testing plan / learning agenda.
  • Can break a strategy down into an actionable plan that accelerates speed to market.
  • Self-driven, motivated to help.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Quantitative Field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' (Senior), 5+ years’ (Lead) experience in Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Product Management.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and product lifecycles.
  • Ability to conduct customer research and competitive analyses.
  • High degree of empathy for others’ perspectives and circumstances.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Targeted Compensation: $110,000 - $162,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan.
