**Hours of Work :**8am to 5pm**Days Of Week :**M-F**Work Shift :**8X5 Day (United States of America)**Job Description :**Your Job:Reporting to the Foundation’s President and serving as a key member of the Foundation’s Leadership Team, the VP-Communications & Special Events will oversee strategic direction and the production of all of the Foundation’s internal and external communications, and will coordinate all of Foundation’s Special Events.+ Lead the coordination, with the Foundation President and the Leadership Team, to determine appropriate strategies for Foundation messaging and methods of distribution.+ Coordinate the communications distribution schedule/calendar.+ Direct publication and distribution of Foundation’s Annual Report and quarterly Newsletters.+ Coordinate, with the President and the Leadership Team, the content and timing for all donor development/engagement-related communication.+ Lead the coordination and all aspects of the Foundation’s annual major fund-raising and branding event-The Robert Folsom Leadership Event, and it’s two x a year Eagle Society Events.+ Coordinate several internal activities, i.e. the annual Employee Giving/Methodist Gives Campaign, and providing liaison support to the Guilds and Auxiliaries of the Methodist Dallas and Methodist Charlton’s Hospitals.+ Providing leadership, management and development of the Communications and Special Events staff.+ Be a strong role model/leader of strong work ethic, collaborative team work, and strategic leadership.+ Provide leadership to support the Foundation’s efforts to meet its goals to increase the # of donors, and to raise more money to provide support for the mission and programs of Methodist Health System.Skills Required:+ Strong experience in Communications management, leadership and strategic initiatives.+ Experience in large corporate event oversight/production.+ Proven, strong writing skills.+ Management experience.+ Non-profit leadership experience.Educational Background Requirements:+ BBA/Secondary DegreeCommunications-Special Event Staff:+ VP will manage a staff of 2, plus be supported collaboratively by the full Foundation staff (13).+ Graphics Design Coordinator+ General Support CoordinatorWork Environment:+ Foundation office and staff work in-the-office at MHS Corporate Headquarters at the MHS campus at 1441 N.
