Substitutions: An associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree substitutes for two, four, or five years of specialized experience.Duties Description • Advise agency officials on the most effective methods of preparing and disseminating updates on agency policies, programs, and activities;• Assist supervisor and other agency officials in planning, executing, and evaluating agency communication and outreach efforts;• Proofread, rewrite, and edit documents submitted by others for style, content, grammar, and conformity to agency standards and policy;• Establish and manage social media presence by creating, publishing, and maintaining content (text, images, video, etc.);• Capture and analyze social and digital media metrics;• Review, draft, and share content for state-wide listserv; maintain listserv registration and subscription database;• Review, design, and contribute content and distribute the agency’s quarterly e-Newsletter;• Monitor, coordinate, and track agency responses to inquiries received through various communication channels, including social media;• Ensure language access rights are incorporated into public communication and assist in the development of the agency’s Language Access Plan;• Ensure consistency of messaging and branding across communication channels;• Work with agency staff to evaluate the effectiveness of communications; analyze internal external stakeholder input collected through surveys, focus groups, or interviews;• Conduct outreach presentations with community stakeholders to publicize the agency; • Coordinate public appearances for other agency staff to explain programs and initiatives and to gain stakeholder support for agency programming;• Assist supervisor with the promotion of training and outreach opportunities and help solicit and identify potential training providers, consultants, and vendors;• Maintain regular communication with contract partners, vendors, and victim assistance community stakeholders• Provide on-site technical assistance to providers, consultants, and vendors during agency funded training and outreach opportunities;• Provide clerical support for federal and state procurement compliance;• Assist supervisor with special projects; and• Participate in unit meetings and provide supervisor with routine training unit updates, reporting, and data analysis.Additional Comments Appointment initially will be temporary until the position has been fully approved for placement in the non-competitive jurisdictional class.
