Description:
Markon is seeking a web developer with a great attitude and enjoys working in a high-pace environment to support one of our Intelligence Customers.
Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, and perform evaluations of applications.Develop and deploy new client applications and/or enhancements and analyze existing applications.Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals,Fulfill end-user requirements and identify and resolve systems issues;Provide story points for appropriate level of effort of work, and make the appropriate recommendations;Collaborate with analysts, project leads, designers and customers.Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycleWrite well designed, testable, efficient code in HTML5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScriptWork on both the front-end and back-end coding environmentsEnsure all designs follow required specificationsEnsure execution on time sensitive projectsWork in a team environment and help shape the culture to encourage innovating ideasParticipate in peer review to ensure accountability and code qualityEnsure 508 complianceJob Requirements
Required:
Solid JavaScript skills, including object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery, and other client-side frameworksSolid skill and experience with HTML, and CSS - with the ability to quickly learn to apply those skills within a WordPress/PHP environmentWorking knowledge of design, development, deployment and maintenance of fully-functional web sites and web applicationsStrong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility general web functions and standardsMinimum of 10 years of related experience, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalentExperienced with web site and application security measures and practicesDesired:
Experience with web design, UI layout, color schemes, and general artistic talent is a huge plusExperience with web development and best practices in WordPress developing themes and/or pluginsExperience with web development and best practices in Microsoft SharePoint using SharePoint DesignerKnowledge of Agile software developmentKnowledge of SQL and experience working with various relational database managements systemsFamiliarity with Cloud services and tool capabilities
Knowledge & understanding of the IC communities
