This position reports to the director of Operational Support and is a full-time appointment. This important role facilitates the smooth flow of internal communication within and across F&O, aligning its diverse teams around shared goals and vision.F&O is an organization committed to operational excellence and dedicated to the principles of being respectful, collaborative, solutions-based, and proactive.F&O has primary responsibility for the stewardship of the university's physical properties, including 37 million square feet of building space. Benefits include:+ A retirement plan that provides immediate vesting and two-for-one matching contributions after 12 months+ Many choices for comprehensive health insurance Life insurance+ Long-term disability coverage+ Paid maternity and parental leave+ Flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care expenses**Responsibilities***+ Lead the development and implementation of strategic communication plans.+ Identify and implement effective communication strategies that keep staff informed and aligned with the organization's vision, goals, and priorities.+ Chair and coordinate F&O Communications Guiding Team, a cross-departmental committee focused on developing organizational communication strategy and ensuring timely and effective communication to and from staff members.+ Lead the department of Operational Support internal communications needs+ Collaborate with F&O department leaders to understand department-specific communication needs and assist with corresponding strategies.+ Determine communication channels and monitor/report on effectiveness.+ Identify and develop compelling success stories that demonstrate organizational principles and accomplishments.+ Coordinate and develop content of various types (e.g., annual reports, monthly organizational updates) and formats to meet diverse needs and goals.+ Set communication milestones and metrics and monitor effectiveness through analytics and other methods.+ Generate and update content on F&O websites and digital signage, and serve as primary point of contact for F&O's digital signage system.+ Measure and present results of communication efforts to senior management**Required Qualifications***+ Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience+ Five to seven years professional experience in public relations, promotion, marketing or communication in a professional setting+ Proven ability to function as a member of a team, manage committee work, build effective working relationships, and demonstrate initiative+ Strong editorial skills and experience with enhancing content quality+ Experience maintaining digital communications, including: websites, blogs, social media Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive problem-solver+ Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with time sensitive deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills**Work Locations**At this time, this is a hybrid position with a standard schedule of two in-person days and three remote days per week, with some flexibility based on the needs of managing projects onsite.
