ABOUT THE POSITIONWe are seeking a Transportation Solutions Web Developer to join our Transportation Solutions team within the Technology Enablement group. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop advanced, spatially enabled transportation solutions utilizing Esri ArcGIS technology. By employing the latest development tools and agile methodologies, we collaborate with clients to craft innovative software solutions that address their increasingly complex challenges. This hybrid position offers flexibility and can be based in various VHB locations along the East Coast, with some in-office presence required.As a Transportation Solutions Web Developer on our Agile Scrum team, you will be tasked with developing and implementing cutting-edge methods to design and build sophisticated software programs, applications, and projects.ResponsibilitiesPlans, conducts, and develops solutions to resolve complex technical problems within the transportation industry

Contributes to the building and integration of software applications.Develops sophisticated geospatial data processing toolsAnalyzes, designs, develops, modifies, writes, edits, and implements complex software applications.Analyzes and defines software requirements to determine specifications and standards.Proposes and implements standard software solutions.Develops, designs, and edits original applications, or modifies third-party applications.Documents procedures that were followed to develop an application or component of an application.Serves as a technical leader for moderately complex software projects.Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.Skills & KnowledgeExtensive experience and knowledge of development environments, frameworks, and languages, including the following:ArcGIS Enterprise/PortalEnterprise GeodatabasesGIS development experience with Esri JavaScript API, ArcGIS SDK and REST APIC# and .Net Core with Entity FrameworkSQL Server Management StudioExperience with Agile Development practicesGitPreferable skillsArcGIS ProEsri Roads and HighwaysAngularAzure DevOps and JiraStrong debugging and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with coworkers.Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented.Skills and knowledge must be commensurate with required experience and job level.Minimum Qualifications3+ years required, 5+ years preferred of software engineering experienceBS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
