Responsible for coordinating communications and associated programs that support the business objectives and strategic priorities of the Wagerup Alumina Refinery and broader Alcoa business.This a part-time opportunity on a 12 month secondment/contract working an average of 18 hours per week. You will work in conjunction with the immediate team consisting of the Senior Community Relations and Communications Advisor and the Community Relations Administrator, the broader Alcoa of Australia Corporate Affairs team, as well as our employees as required.Accountability in this role extends to:Coordinate key internal communications for Wagerup Refinery including but not limited to news stories and newsletters, campaigns, messages from the Refinery Manager and other key leaders and functions, photography, and videos.Assist with broader business internal communications campaigns and initiatives as appropriate.Coordinate key external communications for Wagerup Refinery including but not limited to media releases, advertising, speeches, and presentations.Assist with media inquiries and responses in consultation with relevant members of the Corporate Affairs team.Assist with broader business external communications campaigns and initiatives as appropriate.Coordinate internal and external events for Wagerup Refinery and in relation to its host communities.Support diversity campaigns and initiatives for Wagerup Refinery.Assist with broader business events, campaigns, and initiatives as appropriate.What’s on offer:

Tertiary qualifications such as a Bachelor of Communications, or related discipline is desirable.Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the corporate communications field.Knowledge of the local Peel and Wagerup community is preferred but not essential.Experience working in the resources sector is preferred but not essential.The self-motivation and capability to work efficiently in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and networking skills to support relationships internal and external to our businessThis is your opportunity to help share the future of sustainability with world-changing innovations and low-carbon technologies.
