Our Senior Staff Engineer works with our Staff and Sr. Engineers to innovate and build new systems, improve and enhance existing systems, and identify new opportunities to apply your knowledge to solve critical problems.You will lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap that will increase the velocity of delivering products and unlock new engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in their domain.
Job Responsibilities:As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will:
Focus on multiple areas and provide technical and thought leadership to the enterpriseCollaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve our toughest problemsDevelop and execute technical software development strategies for a variety of domainsAccountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutionsUtilize programming languages like Python, C# or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and servicesBe a role model and mentor, helping to coach and strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community. Influence and educate executivesConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsAnalyze cost and forecast, incorporating them into business plansDetermine and support resource requirements, evaluate operational processes, measure outcomes to ensure desired results, demonstrate adaptability, and sponsoring continuous learning
Required Qualifications :
Strong UI/UX and prototype design knowledge and experienceExperience in digital asset management, personalization, and using web analytics data to optimize the online customer experienceExperience with SEO best practices, Content Management, including implementation solution design and processing rule setFluency with HTML5, React, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, JSON, RESTful Web Services, NodeJS, and Event-Driven ArchitecturesStrong Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) platform knowledgeFamiliar with Project Management and work item management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRAExemplary ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmapExperience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to productionTrack record of publications history in credible conferences and journalsExperience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as codeIn-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithmsExperience solving analytical problems with quantitative approachesAbility to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)Fluency and Specialization with modern languages such as Java, Python including object-oriented designExperience with Micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIsExperience with AI/Client and data-driven integration with backendExperience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systemsFluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational FrameworkExperience with application monitoring tools and performance assessmentsExperience in security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuthExperience in Azure Network (Subscription, Security zoning, etc.)
Required Experience :
10+ years of professional software development experience within a Java framework (J2EE, web containers, and Java)8+ years of experience with architecture and design6+ years of experience in open-source frameworks4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
