Web Designer/Content Author

Contract Duration 6+ MonthsPay range $50 - $60/hr

Job Description

As a Web Designer, you'll create meaningful and engaging experiences across multiple brands and clients.The Web Designer will be responsible for daily site maintenance as well asproducing all pages and assets on sites including web landing pages, product detail pages, and document management.The Web Designer is expected to work collaboratively with UX/UI Designers, Web Project Managers, SEO Specialists, and IT roles.

Essential Duties:

Design and publish website content using a content management system, as well as hand-coded HTML and CSS development as needed.Responsible for content changes and daily maintenance of product pages and document library across clientsWork closely with clients, UX/UI Designers, copywriters, graphic designers, and others to bring new projects and ideas to lifeAct as a content author and publisher in Sitecore CMS.Promote and ensure design and brand guidelines, best practices, and accessibility standards in all executionsProduce rich animation using Ceros or other tools and integrate it into designs as neededWork with UI kit daily, understanding in-depth functionality of all elements, components, and templates

Qualifications:

Knowledge of current web design trends and techniques including responsive design, user-centered and interaction design.Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals and UI/UX principlesAble to learn about new concepts concerning web design componentsThe ability to manage and keep track of a vast number of filesMust be able to work cross-functionallyAbility to manage projects efficiently and manage own workload. Adapts to changing priorities, deadlines, and directionsThe ability to maintain accuracy & deliver projects on time despite pressing deadlines is essentialMust be able to write and speak effectively and be able to clearly communicate with peers, leadership team, and clientsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrated proficiency with content management systems; experience with Sitecore, or other CMS toolDemonstrated proficiency in HTML/CSS and JavascriptExpert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, XD) and of industry-standard design and prototyping tools, including Sketch and Figma

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a creative field or equivalent experience3+ years of professional web design and authoring experience preferredPortfolio of strong creative workDemonstrated proficiency with content management systems
