Responsibilities: Project planning, scheduling, and coordination Project estimating, forecasting and management of budgets Ability to prioritize, develop and maintain project schedules Document control management (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.) Safety management; Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks Coordination and management of subcontractors' work Contract and change order management; track weekly construction progress Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery, and contract administration Responsible for the delivery of project discipline scope elements within budget and schedule. Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work. Supervises and guides team to overall project objectives Provides senior-level technical expertise to the client on project aspects within the discipline. Assists with project management duties and performs other duties as assigned Performs site investigations in substations and along railroad tracks Assist project management with administrative operations Cost control on projects and quality control within the discipline Planning, design and construction phases of projects Monitors signal work performed by outside contractors and track subcontractor progress Supervise new construction and modifications to existing systems Coordinate with material manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers Ensure safe work practices for all subcontractor personal; ensure subcontractor follows approved drawings and uses the approved material in the field

Qualifications:

Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or Journeyman Electrician preferred Minimum 8 years professional experience in construction or construction management Experience in electrified railway substation and power distribution systems designs Preference for experience in intermodal transportation projects and their associated electrical systems; e.g., traction power substations, passenger station facilities, traffic signals and roadway lighting systems AC and DC rail transit traction power substations; Wayside cable plant; Circuit breakers; Switchgear; Transformers; Rectifiers; SCADA and PLC Protection Systems; Overhead catenary and third rail characteristics
