We are seeking an individual who is passionate about leading a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Marketing & Product Management strategy and execution for the Laminates business RV and Flooring segments. The position will manage Laminate products and service offering in the markets of responsibility to meet the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. It has primary responsibility to develop and set the business strategy within key market segments and interact with strategic customers to ensure implementation. The role must effectively position OMNOVA products in the market, establish market specific pricing strategies, execute voice of customer programs, and drive new business development programs. The position will work closely with the Sales, Marketing Communications, Operations and Technology Teams to implement the marketing strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the development of a business strategy for the Laminates business. Includes a fully integrated marketing plan direction, management and positioning of key products and brandsResponsible for understanding how the market segment(s) will develop and how best to position OMNOVA for long-term profitability. Includes recommendation on where to investResponsible for on-time, on-budget delivery of all projects for the assigned segments. Ensure proper internal systems and organize cross functional/regional core team meetings as necessaryDefines appropriate customer and market segmentation; aligns strategies to leverage and maximize value across defined segmentsIdentify and execute upon strategic growth opportunities to achieve business objectives, including new/adjacent markets and products that are aligned with our value proposition and brandingIdentify, manage and respond to market’s un-met needs(products, concepts, solutions) in coordination with Technology/R&DDevelop and execute new product launches based on business plans; accountable for positioning and value pricing strategy for products of the specific industriesResponsible for collecting and assimilating competitive intelligence and positioning. Track and monitor the market with respect to competition, market dynamics and technology developments (benchmarking) and define compelling, winning strategies and action plans. Communicate to industry trends, market indices, and competitive/customer intelligence to Laminates team on a routine basisDevelop appropriate lagging and leading Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to drive enhanced performanceResponsible for expanding the Laminates business portfolio into adjacent market spaces.Additional duties may be assigned.Qualifications

3+ years Marketing experience, or a combination of work experience and a Masters in Marketing or MBADemonstrated formal/informal team leadership, especially with cross functional teamsBias for action with a proven track record of achieving resultsStrong financial and business acumenDemonstrated strong analytical skills with experience using data to form conclusions/recommendationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to excel in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple needs/issues at a timeAbility to work in a matrix, multi-national environmentTechnical aptitudeAbility to travel 30% or morePreferred Qualifications

MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing preferred.Experience in product line P&L experience – pricing, cost objectives and inventory planning to maximize cash flowExcellent computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP and CRM experience a plus.Strong interpersonal, communications and influencing skills.Learning agilityTechnical knowledge within the industryPrefer prior B2B marketing experience

Work Environment and Environmental Conditions
