Role Overview:
The
Graphic and Web Designer
will be responsible for creating original, powerful graphic designs and web pages/sites for sermon series, major events, and church activities. The candidate will work closely with the Communications Manager, Associate Pastor of Communications, Campus Pastors and Ministries in designing marketing materials, signage, web pages, social thumbnails, promotional materials and more.
The ideal candidate must be able to create effective designs for a diverse range of audiences while maintaining brand standards and consistency. The candidate must be able to quickly transition from one project to another and be able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. And they must be able to work well with others as an encouraging and supportive team member.
What you’ll do:
Design Graphics and Develop Collateral/Publications : Conceptualize ideas and concepts with Communications Team and Ministries to brand sermon series, as well as create marketing collateral, new designs, layouts, logos, and more.
Web Design:
Design and create websites as needed using Webflow. Conceptualize ideas with Ministries and Communications Team and provide wireframes and mockups for effective review and approval. Adhere to user experience and accessibility standards to ensure all audiences can engage and enjoy the Vineyard Columbus website.
Web Management:
Keeps websites up to date with current information, layout, and design of emails. Review the sites content and update with current SEO trends. Test website using different devices, browsers, and operating systems for usability and functionality. Monitor, analyze, and report on all online traffic and make recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate and Coordination:
Participates on brainstorming and idea generation for projects and team systems to ensure consistency across all channels, platforms, and experiences
What you bring:Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or other related field, and/or 3-5 years related work experienceAbility to think like an outsider (our website is one of the first places people will go with questions about our church, they must be able to easily find what they need).Competent with design fundamentals for layout in a variety of formatsBackground with web content management systems such as Squarespace and WebflowDemonstrated ability to remain up-to-date with current design trendsWorking knowledge of HTML and CSSAdobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)Mac ProficiencyMS Office Software (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Excellent communication and teamwork skillsAttention to detail and outstanding organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesWillingness to have their work critiquedHistory of setting and meeting goals and deadlines and communicate progress with leadershipWe offer:
