Pillar & Peacock is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to creatively design and manage a wide range of projects. The Senior Designer is responsible for producing high-quality interior design deliverables and providing excellent client service. The perfect person will be able to work on any/all phases of development of a project including design studies, schematic design, design development, construction documents, installation, and construction administration. The Senior Designer will also act as a Project Manager and be responsible for maintaining cohesiveness, consistency, and efficiency in a project.

Responsibilities & Duties

Senior Designer:

Develop and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervisionConceptualize and create design ideas through 3D visualization, mood boards and hand-sketchingDevelop space plans, project budget, schedule and programming documentationSelections and specifications of finish materials and furnitureCreate and manage time and materials budgets for projectsTrack time using Design Manager softwarePrepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutionsCommunicate with clients, contractors, and consultantsLead project meetings & client presentationsOrganize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks, and meetingsAdminister contract documents, bids & negotiations including construction administrationReview shop drawings and submittalsMentor and manage junior and intermediate designersProject Management:

Manage all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projectsServe as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfactionActively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications, and documentation; and project team assignmentsEstimate fees; determine the scope of work, review proposals and contractsMonitor workload, time billing, and specific assignments of the project teamCoordinate timelines and teammates for simultaneous projects, and to determine capacity for new projectsQualifications & Skills

10+ years of experience as a Designer in a Residential FirmNCIDQ certification preferredProficiency in AutoCAD preferredExcellent oral, written, and graphic communication skillsASID membership or willingness to become a memberWorking knowledge of Sketch-Up, InDesign, PhotoshopHelpful to have experience using Dropbox, Slack, Google Suite, and ZoomDesire and ability to work in a creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing on multiple projects simultaneouslyResiliency to cope with client demands & able to prioritize duties and work effectivelyTeam-oriented but must be able to work independently with little supervisionAbility to work with team members and projects in other locationsWorking Conditions

Full-Time position (40 hours per week)Must have a working vehicle to travel to project sites and between officesMust feel comfortable working interactively with teammates and industry partnersSome travel will be required
