$85,000 - $100,000 annualized salary, based on skills and experience

Summary

Responsible for developing and leading the theme and scope of the marketing plan for Loveland Ski Area, in support of company revenue and visitation goals, and enhancing the guest and employee experiences. Responsible for overseeing, directing, developing, and managing the Loveland brand (including brand recognition), skiloveland.com website, Loveland's social media initiatives, photo and video assets, on-mountain branding, ski area collateral, and email campaigns. Develop and maintain effective relationships with the operations teams, guest service team, call center team, agencies, outside vendors, and other ski area businesses - and with our guests. Additional responsibilities include onsite customer service, assisting with offsite sales events, and general ski area support, as needed. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.

Essential Functions

• Strategic Marketing Plan - Develop, execute, and analyze the results of an annually developed marketing plan, including Loveland's advertising, digital marketing, group sales, and promotions. Identify, implement and evaluate marketing initiatives designed to drive pass/ticket sales and business levels during peak and off-peak periods. Adjust and flex the plan as needed.

• Public Relations - Orchestrate and execute Loveland's public relations strategies and act as the official spokesperson of the ski area.

• Customer Service - Develop, drive and consistently lead the Loveland Service Culture, including assisting with employee training and monitoring to ensure consistent performance to the service culture by all departments. Manage and respond to customer feedback. Oversee customer survey process, compiling results for effective and useful review by company leaders, supporting action when appropriate.

• Website and social media management - Oversee development, execution and analysis of ski area website and social media, adjusting as need to ensure a strong presence with the desired messaging in the targeted markets.

• Financial - Provide insight toward, and develop and deliver on a marketing plan designed to support the ski area's revenue and visitation goals; partner with accounting to develop and work toward meeting budget goals, ensuring timely forecasting, as appropriate.

• Staff Management -successfully lead the marketing team in developing and executing on an effective marketing plan to achieve set company and department goals, and to consistently support and work toward each team member's individual developmental goals. Provide leadership company-wide around the Loveland Service Culture and create and foster an environment where safety is a priority and all Loveland team members are comfortable and willing to raise questions and concerns related to safety.

• Strategic Partnerships - Cultivate, drive, evaluate and retain effective strategic partnerships.

• Events - Oversee the design, planning, execution and evaluation of all ski area events, with particular attention paid to growing our new summer wedding/group business.

• Oversee sales and coordination of Loveland's snowcat operation by marketing tours, taking reservations and managing communications with booked guests.

• Lead the marketing team in successfully supporting Loveland's guest facing departments and Safety Culture, as needed.

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with an emphasis in Marketing/Business, or equivalent experience

• Five (5) or more year's experience in marketing with progressively increased levels of responsibility

• Two (2) or more years' experience working with media buying or selling, direct marketing, and promotions

• Two (2) years in a supervisory role with experience coordinating and managing staff

• Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record.

• Visible and contagious passion for the snowsports industry which translates into creative and effective leadership and job performance.

• Ability to self-motivate and self-direct to set and achieve goals

• Lead a team toward set goals, motivate individual performance, and hold team members accountable to ensure team success

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. and detail orientation.

• Balance, manage and organize competing priorities, scheduling and motivating a team to accomplish all priorities

• React and positively adjust to changing market conditions in all aspects of business and staff demands

• Strong communication and time management skills with independent decision-making ability.

• Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, being respectful and considerate of others, including de-escalation and conflict resolution skills

• Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines and priorities

• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information

• Strong computer, email and social media skills. Advanced working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Graphic design experience, preferred.

• Basic HTML skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English to deliver and understand verbal and written communications. Bilingual fluency a plus

• Intermediate or above skiing/snowboarding ability, preferred

• Ability to work at high altitude, indoors and outdoors (in base are and on the mountain), and in extreme weather conditions.

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the Winter Season.
