**It's more than a career, it's a calling**MO-SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital**Worker Type:**Regular**Job Highlights:**+ Department: Art Therapist+ Schedule: ​Full Time​, ​Day Shift, 8:30 am - 5 pm+ No weekends or holidays+ Starting Pay: ​$23.86+ Shift Differentials: ​ Available for evening, night, weekend, and additional shifts+ Location: ​MO-SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital+ Position works exclusively with pediatric hematology/oncology patients and collaborates frequently with Friends of Kids with Cancer**Job Summary:**Develops and implements art therapy treatment plans.**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES+ Conducts patient assessments and establishes art therapy treatment goals.+ Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of art therapy interventions.+ Coordinates therapeutic art activities for both large and small groups. Observes patient response and encourages socialization.+ Provides patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic art activities in the community.+ Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.+ Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.+ Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION+ Master's degree in Art Therapy or related fieldEXPERIENCE+ No experience requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
