Senior Marketing Data AnalystHoffmann Murtaugh, a fully integrated media planning and buying agency, is seeking an Analytics and Measurement Specialist to join our growing team.The ideal candidate should love working with data and excel at problem solving. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to connect and interpret data from multiple sources to provide insights that help inform our clients and internal teams of campaign performance.As a client facing role, the candidate should be comfortable presenting to groups virtually and should have a knack for communicating to audiences with various levels of marketing expertise.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to craft a story around the data and showcase problem solving skills to the client.

This individual will meet with our planning, buying, account management teams to understand client KPIs, overall media strategy, and tactical performance.Primary FunctionsLead large complex analytics and reporting projects, delivering accurate, accessible, and repeatable business reporting and insights to stakeholders across all levelsDemonstrate leadership and subject matter expertise in business and data landscape, standardized reporting, experimentation, and analysis to support performance discussions across multiple channelsProactively help the business leverage data and insights to enhance our ability to inform on marketing efforts and increase efficacy of our approachesProvide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize and scale marketing campaignsApply a customer/stakeholder-oriented focus and user experience and design best practices to ensure data analysis is easily consumable through visualization, presentation, and storytellingUse automated tools and platforms to extract data from data sourcesDevelop and maintain databases and data systems and reorganize in a format that is usable in outputsPerforms data quality audits to flag any inconsistencies that may indicate an errorFilter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problemsPrepare reports for management showing trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant dataWork with management to identify process improvement opportunities and propose system modificationsIdentify opportunities for efficiencies in reporting and reporting automationBuild visualizations that effectively communicate performanceCreate templates for use in reporting visualizationsUpdate and maintain reports for internal and external stakeholdersDevelop and update formal reporting processes and best practicesProactively support and participate in agency improvement/innovation initiativesRequired Qualifications4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysisProficient in SQL and ExcelExperienced with Python or R, and data visualization tools such as (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)Experience translating complex findings and results into a compelling narrativeExperience handling large data sets to reveal patterns, trends, and associations, from behavioral and interaction dataStrong understanding of paid media metrics and KPIsAbility to cleanse and prepare dataStrong mathematical abilityExceptionally analytical and naturally curiousAbility to prioritize and multi-taskDetail orientedPassionate and curious about the advertising and digital industriesStrong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalCore values must include honesty, reliability, a commitment to pride in your work quality, and the pursuit of self and work/career excellenceProactive, self-starter and tenacity in finding solutions to problemsProven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independentlyMust be computer literate with strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook/Express, with the ability to learn new computer systemsAbility to define problems, collect and review data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsWorking Conditions/Physical RequirementsVirtual office environment that aligns with 8:30a-5p EST office hours.
