As a Senior Environment Concept Artist, you will work on maintaining the vision set forth by the Art Leads and Art Directors as it relates to concepting and outsourcing environment assets for World of Warcraft. This includes props, foliage, and architecture.The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in creating and giving feedback for 2D game assets and has experience in concepting and texturing. They will also have a solid grasp of art fundamentals and a deep understanding of the hand-painted Warcraft art style.This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.What you offer:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:Concept assets to be sent out to external artistsDrive outsource development by tracking incoming/outgoing assets.Manage communications and provide feedback to artists, and help maintain a strong creative relationship between external and internal art teamsCollaborate closely with Visual Development/Concept Artists and other teamsGenerate detailed documentation, visual reference, and examples of asset production, tools, procedures, and engine requirements to support the external vendorsCommunicate with Art Directors, Art Leads, Production, Design, and other departments to understand and deliver on external development needsMinimum Requirements
