We are seeking a talented and passionate 3D Environment Artist to join our growing team! Are you driven to create stunning and immersive worlds for feature films and animation? As a 3D Environment Artist with an artistic, yet technical eye, you will be the architect of captivating worlds, translating 2D concepts into stunning 3D, and leveraging your mastery of 3D modeling, texturing, and composition to craft immersive spaces that fuel storytelling and enthrall audiences, in a quality suitable for the silver screen!Skills & Requirements

Work closely with the Director/VFX Supervisor, Head of Layout, Concept Artists, and Lighting Lead to execute the film's artistic vision, while remaining within the technical budget of the studio.Contribute to the development of the world's visual style/pipeline by delivering cutting-edge assets.Able to follow directions and react to critiques in a timely manner.Contribute to the references, concepts, and art direction while also having the initiative to take the work further.Work closely with the team and external partners to ensure that quality is consistent and cohesive.Increase the team's skills through mentorship and artistic techniques.Requirements:Utilize Unreal Engine, Blender, Maya, Modo, MudBox, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Houdini, or equivalent software to create detailed and believable 3D environments that will be transferred to Unreal Engine for scene finishingApply a solid understanding of next-generation asset creation pipelines, tools, and software to streamline environment development.Demonstrate a strong grasp of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in relation to both modeling and artistry.Work proficiently with PBR shaders, normal maps, specular maps, and diffuse maps to achieve the optimal visual quality within Unreal Engine’s technical limitations of Path Tracer.Optimize models and textures for efficient rendering and performance.Exhibit a keen eye for light, shade, color, and detail in texture map creation.Understanding of how to work in an ACES color pipeline.Collaborate effectively with the layout, animation, design, and lighting teams to ensure a seamless asset handoff.Communicate pipeline needs clearly and contribute to the development or enhancement of technologies to elevate character team quality and efficiency.Demonstrate an ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly.Accurately estimate task completion times and meet deadlines consistently.Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Bachelor’s degree in computer Animation, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).How to Apply
