Head of SEO StrategyBrooklyn, NY - HybridFull time roleDirect working with Retail/Ecommerce experience mandatory - No Consultancies or Advertising agency.My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Google Strategy to oversee all aspects of SEO and Google advertising spend for the client. This executive-level position is crucial in driving our online presence, increasing organic traffic, and optimizing our Google ad campaigns to maximize ROI. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail and e-commerce, with a proven track record of success in SEO and SEM strategies.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO and SEM strategy aligned with client's business goals.Lead the SEO and SEM teams, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure the achievement of KPIs and objectives.Stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure client remains competitive in search rankings.SEO Management:Oversee on-page and off-page SEO efforts to enhance organic search visibility and rankings.Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth.Optimize website content, meta tags, and other SEO elements to improve search engine performance.Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.Google Advertising:Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Display, Shopping, and Video ads.Allocate and monitor the Google advertising budget to ensure efficient and effective spend.Develop and implement strategies to improve ad quality scores, click-through rates, and conversion rates.Analyze campaign performance data and generate insights to inform future advertising strategies.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with the marketing, content, and product teams to ensure alignment of SEO and SEM efforts with overall marketing campaigns and product launches.Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement technical SEO best practices.Coordinate with external agencies and vendors as needed to support SEO and SEM initiatives.Performance Analysis and Reporting:Utilize analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of SEO and SEM strategies.Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for growth.Continuously refine strategies based on performance data to drive improved results.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.10+ years of experience in SEO, SEM, and digital marketing, with a significant portion in a retail or e-commerce environment.Proven success in managing large-scale SEO and Google advertising campaigns with a substantial budget.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Knowledge of retail and e-commerce industry trends and best practices is a must.Thanks,Nanditnandit.srivastava@
