Gather information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution. Analyze consumer needs, synthesize competitive information, identify growth opportunities, and create marketing campaigns. Evaluate market potential and return on investment (ROI) of key programs to help determine areas of potential investment or divestment. Develop an understanding of Microsoft's product portfolio to analyze strategic priorities, competitive position, gaps, and potential opportunities. Support and review product roadmap, go-to-market, integration, and related plans to ensure effective marketing campaigns. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

EDUCATION: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in marketing, market analysis, sales strategy, or product management.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires: twelve (12) months of experience in: Develop go-to-market strategies; Analyze and visualize quantitative data; Apply marketing and strategy models to solve business challenges; Determine market size for products/services; and Conducting industry and competitive analysis, and education or experience in: Define product value proposition and framework for segmentation, targeting and positioning for enterprise software or technology products; and Develop integrated marketing communication strategies.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (TSJASP18035), in Redmond, WA, is $126,000 to $156,000.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
