Job Description

Summary

The Marketing Compliance and Fulfillment Manager will spend approximately 60% of his or her time performing Compliance First Line of Defense duties and approximately 40% toward managing marketing projects, budget monitoring and fulfillment platform management. This position is directly responsible for reviewing advertising materials for projects and campaigns established by the Marketing Department and other marketing supported community bank business units. The project management duties are devoted to project tracking, execution, approval and fulfillment, budget tracking and management, and regulatory communications.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesReviews and approves the materials submitted by the marketing project owners using compliance prepared regulatory checklist(s)Reviews and approves the supporting documentation submitted by the project owner including, but not limited to, Campaign and Offer Requirements, and Retail and Customer Care PlaybooksEnsures the advertised product(s), and service(s) have been risk-rated, and have been through proper and adequate due diligence, as neededEffectively communicates with the project owner regarding advertising submissions, and educates them accordinglyAssists Corporate Compliance in researching compliance issues as related to marketingAmends and enhances existing programs, policies and procedures, and checklists, as needed for the approval processGains in-depth knowledge of all federal and state retail banking and mortgage lending regulations, IRS Rulings as they pertain to consumer deposit accounts and consumer non-deposit accounts. Some of these include:

FDIC - Advertisement of Membership (12 CFR 328);CFPB - Truth in Savings (12 CFR 1030) Reg DD;CFPB - Truth in Lending (12 CFR 1026) Reg Z;FDIC - Consumer Protection in Sales of Insurance;FDIC - Non-deposit Investment Products;FTC - UDAAP;HUD - Fair Housing Act;FTC - FRCA: Affiliate Marketing and Prescreened solicitations;FTC - CAN-SPAM; andIRS - 1099 Interest and bonus reportingCopyright and trademark needs

Manage the annual marketing strategy calendar by proactively engaging all stakeholders who impact the customer and prospect channels: marketing strategists, digital marketing, SLW, FWB, etc.Assure that all multi-channel initiatives are added to project tracking platform and that the project leader and all team members are documented as contributorsBe proactive and notify project leads if projects are at risk of missing deadlinesTrack project and department spending and keep Marketing Director abreast of budget impactsProactively provide summary of final project spends (including customer incentive payments) along with an ongoing budget tracking snapshot for review by departmental managementManage the DIY marketing platform and ensure that the system is operational, legacy materials are up-to-date, and the inventory is consistently updated with relevant, useful materials that are used frequently by community banks.Be the SME, lead writer, and project manager for all regulatory correspondence sent to customersEnsure that FUB brand and brand voice are well-represented and that correspondence aligns with customer's need to understand the impact of the change, what action s/he needs to take, and where to go for answers to questionsAdditional Duties & Responsibilities

Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basisAdherence to all First United Policies and ProceduresDresses professionallyOther duties as assigned by managerEmployee Specifications

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or CommunicationsTwo (2) to five (5) years in related field preferredTechnical/Functional Competencies

Ability to communicate well through both written and verbal communication.Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people.Strong initiative in the development and timely completion of projects and deadlinesExhibits sound and ethical judgment.Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across multifunctional teams.Exceptional time management skills in order to effectively multi-task.
