Job Description

The digital content manager's primary focus will be to oversee and maintain the accuracy, brand consistency, and accessibility of Wellesley's web presence. The digital manager works closely with College website editors through the website creation, migration, and maintenance processes, informing them of branding standards and best practices with regard to content, design, accessibility, navigation, and usability. Additional duties include writing web copy and monitoring analytics. This position reports to the director of digital marketing and communication.

Primary ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain images, copy, and design of pages overseen by C&PA and provide support to administrative departments updating their own sitesEnsure new content appropriately reflects the College's voice, branding (including images), and best practices and standards, including accessibilityWrite and edit web copy using the College's voiceAudit the website on a regular basis to ensure quality, consistent messaging and adherence to web standardsSupport the rollout of Wellesley's website redesign, assisting with assessment and migration of contentEducation

Bachelor's degreeExperience

3+ years working with websites.Skills and abilities

Excellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent organizational, time management, and analytical/problem-solving skills along with a high degree of flexibilityAbility to work and collaborate with a variety of constituencies at different levels including various College departments and groups and outside vendors/contributorsAbility to multitask and prioritizeAbility to set and abide by project deadlinesExperience managing digital-first projectsFamiliarity with website standards and best practices, including accessibilityKnowledge of HTML and CSSExperience using content management systems preferredHybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
