We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals to add to our team. A great attitude and being team-oriented are a must. We are a premier fondue restaurant located in downtown Boise. Our mission is to provide the Perfect Night Out to our guests and a positive work environment for our team members. We offer a warm, friendly, and positive environment that promotes teamwork. We offer highly competitive hourly pay, meal benefits, and opportunity to grow. Our hours of operation are family and student friendly. We close at 9 pm every day except Friday and Saturday, which is 10 pm. We are looking for both full and part-time. The Melting Pot in Boise is a great supplemental income job for those with day jobs or school.

Summary:

Food expeditors inspect dishes for visual appeal and to ensure that food is properly prepared and served at the proper temperature in a timely fashion. Expeditors are the link between the Heart of House (HOH) and the Front of House (FOH).

Responsibilities:Expeditors call out orders to chefs, check on the status of dishes, and call for waitstaff when food is ready to serve.Expeditors alert the waitstaff when the kitchen is out of a specific ingredient and relay special food requests from the waitstaff to the HOH.Expeditors are responsible for the food portions of finished dishes, ensuring they adhere to restaurant standards.Expeditors inspect every plate to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes are free of smudges and spills before being delivered to the guests.Expeditors maintain cleanliness and order in all cooking, prep, and food storage areas, keeping these areas neat, well organized, and stocked with ingredients.Expeditors make sure all HOH and FOH team members follow sanitation standards keeping themselves, their tools, and their work areas clean and presentable.Expeditors pitch in to help all team members as needed-cooking and prepping food, running plates of food to the FOH, and assisting with tasks restaurant-wide.Expeditor Skills and Qualifications:

Expeditors must work well in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and staff members. Expeditors must handle a high-pressure work environment.

Communication - to relay information between dining and kitchen areas, and to assist customersLeadership ability - expeditors keep the HOH working within deadlines, give orders to waitstaff, and manage issues as they arise in the kitchen and dining areasTime management - to ensure that all dishes in an order are ready to serve at the same time and at the right temperatureCustomer service - expeditors may be needed to run food to guests and speak with guests.Detail-oriented - expeditors must spot even the smallest imperfections, and every plate of food served to guests must meet all restaurant standards.Multi-tasking - expeditors maintain composure while managing multiple staff members, food orders, and kitchen duties.The Melting Pot of Boise, ID & Spokane, WA are locally owned by Hollis and Kim Silva.
