Position Overview

Strategic Communications Support / Project Management in support of the Air Force Readiness Division Analysis and Decision Support contract. This position assists in overall strategic messaging and development for AF Readiness as well as organizational and interpersonal communications. Will provide in-depth expertise in current and predictive operational readiness issues, macro-level factors affecting organizational performance, and experience conveying messages directly supporting policy and budgetary implementation at the senior executive level in the Air Force, Department of Defense, Joint Staff, Congress, and other Government agencies. Focuses on developing strategic readiness initiatives and collecting information to document current initiatives and countermeasures mapped to the root causes and inadequacies they address.

Essential Job FunctionDirectly support AF/A3TR as the primary point of contact (action officer) to staff Air Force Senior Executive Leadership (SecAF, USecAF, CSAF, VCSAF), Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Congressional taskings, correspondence, and inquiriesServe as the office of primary responsibility action officer for the Air Force's quarterly submission to the Joint Staff's Joint Force Readiness Review, Office of the Secretary of Defense's Semi-annual Readiness Review to Congress.Possess in-depth knowledge in understanding of Air Force organizations, organizational change management processes, strategic communication, and integrating stakeholder communities and other support servicesPlan and manage required readiness deliverables, strategic messaging, and readiness review courses of action. Assist with interpretations of Air Force, JointStaff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Congressional questions regarding Air Force readiness and deliver actionable studies and analysis products, results, and conclusions to answer inquiries ensuring consistency in message across productsCompile, process, organize, analyze, synthesize, and present relevant data into a coherent format useful to inform General Officers, Senior Executives, and Congressional staffers, as required.Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing Strategic-level readiness reviews or plans for conducting readiness reporting analyses for AF/A3TR and SecAF projects including infancy-level projectsAssist in providing briefings, conferences, and demonstrations on the Air Force Readiness Enterprise to include an analysis of readiness reports from the DRRS-S on Air Force units, as well as key personnel, force structure, funding/resourcing, logistics/maintenance/sustainment, equipment, training, and operational interactions in the context of the Air Force's capability and capacity to fulfill requirements of the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy Standardize processes for creation, approval, distribution, and archives. Develop and maintain content management governance processes. Assist the Government in documenting AF/A3TR activities and processesQualifications

Qualifications

Current Secret security clearanceThree (3) years of experience on or supporting the Air Staff or an equivalent strategic level staff, one (1) year of GO/FO Principal's Staff experience, one (1) year of experience with DRRS-S.Bachelor's degree or higher and intermediate knowledge and familiarity with readiness reporting, program analyses, and information systems.Knowledge and familiarity with Strategic Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution associated with DoD Government agenciesKnowledge and understanding of Air Force organizations, processes, integrating stakeholder communities, and other support services.Communication, interpersonal, and computer, software, and knowledge management skills. Will work with USAF Task Management Tool system.
