At UCLA Health, you can do all this and more.In this key role, you will review Ambulatory Medical Specialty & Heme/Oncinfusion orders for medical necessity,formulary preferences and if needed coordinate with the prescribing provider toupdate orders per protocol prior to authorization submission. You will serve as the primary ambulatory pharmacyresource for information regarding infusion payor formularies and denialreasons. You will support authorization coordinators and prescribing providerswith complex infusion medication authorization cases. You will maintain and review patientmedication profiles, review physician medication orders and patients' insurancebenefits. You will interact with healthcare professionals and providers to helpdecrease authorization turnaround time and improve the patientexperience.Schedule: Monday -Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm (PST)HourlySalary Range: $85.87 - $100.58 (Unionrepresented, step based salary depending on years of experience)BargainingUnit: HX-UPTEQualificationsWe'reseeking a dedicated clinical professional with:+ Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license (required)+ Minimum of 1 year of practice experience in Oncology (required)+ Prior Infusion Experience (preferred)+ Prior Medical Benefit Authorization Experience (preferred)+ Epic experience (preferred)+ Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.+ Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.UCLAHealth is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals anddozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers andother ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles.
