Responsible for timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion.Core Competencies+ Partnerships+ Growth mindset+ Results oriented+ Customer focused+ ProfessionalismReporting Relations:Accountable and Reports to: Operations ManagerPositions that Report to you: NonePrimary Duties and Responsibilities+ Maintain and refresh event space inside The Ron Pearson Center according to sales contract and company standards.+ Sets tables and chairs, buffet lines, HD displays, etc.+ Stages pipe and drape.+ Ensures the cleanliness and organization of events is done in a timely manner.+ Assists supervisors during large functions.+ Ensures meeting and event spaces are set in a timely manner.+ Ensures meeting and event spaces are broken down in a timely manner.+ Refresh rooms as needed.+ Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics+ Effective communicator+ Ability to process and carry out detailed written, verbal, and demonstrated instructions+ Ability to communicate identifying informationEducation & ExperienceHigh School or equivalent; Zero to six months of banquet center experiencePhysical Requirements+ Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.+ Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth, perception, color vision and field of vision.+ Must be able to fit and walk in confined spaces.+ Must be able to climb, balance, kneel, reach, stand, walk, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear and perform repetitive movement.+ Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.Working ConditionsThe duties of Banquet and Event setup are conducted in a conference center setting. This environment is fast paced and labor intensive and requires significant contact and communication with management, coworkers, customers, and outside vendors. Great attention to customer service is the forefront of this environment.Equipment Used to Perform JobAll required equipment for server, janitorial, and AV dutiesContactsHas frequent contact with general public and customers.
