Description

Position Summary:

The Marketing Director (MD) is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of Texas Tech CU's marketing and advertising initiatives. The MD's primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations. This role will lead a dynamic team of marketing professionals and will work closely with other departments and marketing agencies to ensure the alignment of the marketing strategy with the credit union's goals and should have a strategic marketing leadership mindset

Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the credit union's business goals.Oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, print, events, etc.).Analyze market trends and data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.Maintain and enhance Texas Tech CU's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communications.Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and member engagement.Oversee the creation of compelling content and collateral that effectively communicates the credit union's value proposition.Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and high performance.Develop and implement member-centric marketing initiatives to enhance the overall member experience.Utilize member feedback and data to continuously improve marketing efforts.Foster strong relationships with members, community partners, and other stakeholders.Collaborate with Consumer Banking, Consumer Lending, and Mortgage Departments in community engagement opportunities related to event planning & execution along with prospect/lead follow-up strategiesDrive digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and online advertising.Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Intelligence for targeted campaigns and data-driven decision-making.Utilize website design and management software to ensure an optimal online member experience.Utilize data software platforms for enhanced personalization and campaign management.Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Texas Tech CU at the forefront of marketing innovation.Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.Ensure marketing activities are cost-effective and deliver a strong return on investment.Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting marketing and communications.Provide guidance and support for professional development and career growth within the team.Ensure effective collaboration between the marketing team and other departments.Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Proven experience as a Marketing Director or similar leadership role in a financial institution or related industry.Strong understanding of digital marketing and data analytics.Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Intelligence, data platforms and website design, preferred.Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.This position is based in Lubbock, Texas and may require occasional travel for conferences, meetings, and other business-related events.
